The “210” Showcase: San Antonio Artists To Catch At SXSW 2026
While the world descends on Austin, San Antonio is bringing its own heat. From honky-tonk legends to indie-electronic explorers, these are the artists representing the Alamo City this year.
1. Garrett T. Capps & NASA Country
* The Vibe: “Space-Cowboy” Honky-Tonk.
* Why catch them: Garrett is the unofficial ambassador of San Antonio music. His “¡Ay 35 Fiesta Eterno!” showcase at The White Horse (March 14) is a legendary unofficial SXSW tradition. It’s free, features a slew of SA artists, and usually involves plenty of Lone Star beer.
2. Nicky Diamonds
* The Vibe: Gritty, soulful Americana with a rock-and-roll heart.
* The Slot: Catch his Official Showcase at the Saxon Pub on Friday, March 13 (10:00 PM). It’s the perfect venue for his storytelling and powerful vocals.
3. Mypilotis
* The Vibe: Ethereal, indie-electronic dream-pop.
* Why catch them: Longtime favorites of the San Antonio indie scene, Mypilotis brings a polished, atmospheric sound that fits perfectly with the late-night “Clubhouse” vibes of 2026. Keep an eye on the official schedule for their set times.
4. Night Ritualz
* The Vibe: Dark, driving, and incredibly danceable indie-rock.
* The Slot: Performing an Official Showcase at The 13th Floor on Tuesday, March 17 (11:00 PM). If you want to experience the energy of the St. Mary’s Strip in the heart of Austin, this is the show.
5. Vinilious SATX (Collective/Showcase)
* The Vibe: International Indie & Latin Alternative.
* The Move: For the second year, SA-based Vinilious is hosting an Official Showcase at Shangri-La. They curate a massive lineup of indie artists from Mexico, Argentina, and Chile. It’s a great way to see how San Antonio acts as a bridge for global Latin music.
The “Spillover” Bonus
For those who can’t make it to Austin, remember “Indie Landia” back in San Antonio. On March 19 & 20, Vinilious SATX brings the festival home to the Rah! Rah! Room, featuring many of the same international acts that just played SXSW—without the Austin traffic.
