Niall James Horan<\/strong><\/em> an Irish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who first found fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. <\/span>Formed in 2010 on The X Factor<\/i>, the group became one of the best-selling boy bands in history. <\/span>Horan has since released new music, including the 2026 singles “Dinner Party”, “End of an Era”, and “Little More Time”. <\/span>He’s also been featured on The Voice<\/i> and appeared on the cover of Dork<\/i> magazine’s July 2026 issue.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Touring 2023\u2019s The Show in 2024 undoubtedly inspired Niall Horan for his next project. \u201cYou have to paint a few pictures before you get the nice ones,\u201d he tells Apple Music\u2019s Zane Lowe. \u201cBut I think the tour did a lot for me, and the success of the last album just gave me a confidence to just go in and stand behind a mic, set up a band, jam, see what came from it, and release it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Enter his fourth solo album Dinner Party, which lets Horan float through dreamy and soaring pop rock with a few tender ballads at the table. The upbeat and earnest \u201cTastes So Good\u201d opens the 12-track paean to love and relationships (\u201cIt just sounds like three dudes in a room jamming, and that\u2019s exactly what it is,\u201d Horan says).<\/p>\n

\u201cShe Gets It from Her Mother\u201d\u2014one of three songs co-written by Morgan Wallen collaborator Rocky Block\u2014bears a twangy \u201970s aesthetic. Shiny and catchy, \u201cPretty\u201d unearths a more mature but still chant-worthy chorus, reminiscent of Horan\u2019s youthful career.<\/p>\n

The album does end with an emotional wallop. Horan honors his friend and One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who tragically lost his life in 2024, with \u201cEnd of an Era.\u201d \u201cWe had it, pure magic\/Remembering what it was like\/Time passes so fast that\/I couldn\u2019t tell you goodbye,\u201d he reflects on the atmospheric tribute.<\/p>\n

And ultimately the singer-songwriter appreciates where he came from and where he\u2019s going. \u201cAs long as the fans keep wanting it, that\u2019s all I want to hear,\u201d he says. \u201cI love doing what I do. The older I get, the more aware, the more grateful you become, the more you take it all in. And I\u2019m just loving this evolution.\u201d<\/p>\n
